Meditations The rosary is divided into groups of prayers called "decades", each of which is prayed in honor of a mystery of our Lords life and that of His Blessed Mother. As we pray each decade, we are asked to meditate from our hearts on a particular mystery, while we pray lovingly to obtain the grace of the fruit of each mystery. Following is a list of the mysteries, and their associated fruits. The Joyful Mysteries: The five joyful mysteries, can be envisioned as a beautiful crown of snow white rose buds which we are presenting to Our Loving Mother in honor of the happy moments she and Our Lord shared during their earthly lives. |

The Mysteries of Light: Pope John Paul II suggested the inclusion of the mysteries of Christ's public ministry between his Baptism and his Passion. It is during the years of his public ministry that the mystery of Christ is most evidently a mystery of light: While I am in the world, I am the light of the world (Jn 9:5).
